Custom Church Songs · Original · Human-Written

A song written for
your church's story.

Original milestone anthems for worship pastors — church anniversaries, Christmas Eve, pastor tributes, and capital campaigns. Written by a human songwriter, from your congregation's history.

Lyrics written by a human songwriter, from your church's story. Full congregational rights — no CCLI filing. Delivered weeks before your service.

Service date this season? Most churches book 6–8 weeks out — inquire early to hold your date. You approve the lyrics before anything is recorded.

Your 50th anniversary deserves a song that is yours.
Not a hymnal pick. Not a worship-team cover.

Church milestones are rare. A 25th, 50th, or 100th anniversary happens once. A pastor retiring after thirty years happens once. A capital-campaign theme sets the tone for a building program your congregation will give toward for years. These moments carry generational weight — they deserve original music, not a track pulled from a catalog.

Every lyric is written by Chad Colter — a human songwriter — from the specific history of your congregation: the Scripture your founding pastor preached, the season you nearly closed, the neighborhood you serve, the language of your tradition. No template. No algorithm. Written by hand, from your story.

And when it's delivered, it belongs to your church's story. Perform it every Sunday. Project the lyrics. Record your live service. Post the video. No licensing paperwork, no CCLI filing for your own commissioned song.

Most commissioned music ties up rights in a publisher contract or rides on your CCLI reporting. Yours belongs to your church, free and clear — no annual fees, no license tracking, no vendor relationship after delivery. Every lyric is written by one person — Chad Colter — from your congregation's story, then produced with professional studio tools. Not a mill, not a marketplace, not a template you could have downloaded.

Four occasions. One songwriter.

Questions, answered.

Does our church need a CCLI license for this song?
No. This is an original song commissioned for your congregation, so you hold the performance rights. No CCLI filing is required to sing it, project the lyrics, or record your service. (The master recording stays with Songs by CSJ; your church holds full congregational performance and broadcast rights.)
Can our worship team learn and perform it live?
Yes. Sheet music and chord charts are available on request, and the song is written to be performable by a standard worship band.
Can we use it in our capital-campaign video, livestream, or website?
Yes — congregational broadcast rights are included. If you ever need a license for a national commercial-distribution context, that's a separate and easy conversation.
How is this different from a song on PraiseCharts or CCLI?
Those were written for everyone. This is written from your church's specific story, Scripture, names, and history. No other congregation will ever sing it.
Who writes the song?
Your lyrics are written by a real person — Chad Colter — from the material you provide, and the finished track is produced with professional studio tools and a human's ear. Your words, your story, human-directed start to finish — not a stock track, not a template every other church could buy.
How far in advance do we need to order?
Three to four weeks before your service is comfortable, with revision rounds built in. Rush (two weeks or less) is available at a surcharge — email first.
What does our finance committee need?
We can provide an invoice, a scope-of-work letter, or a vendor letter on request. Most worship pastors handle this as a music-budget or special-events line item.

Your next milestone is closer than you think.

Your worship team is already planning the service. Let's make it something the congregation carries with them.

Wrote your 25th? Your 50th gets a refreshed version at a returning-church rate. Know a worship pastor planning a milestone? Refer them and you'll get 15% when they book. I take a limited number of church commissions each month — inquire early to hold your date.
